Default Cheaper brand cutters?

hello all. new to forums.

i already have a refine Eh710, and recently it has stopped working. the blade on its runner, will not move side to side. sounds like the motor is burnt out or something.. only used for around 6 months.. any idea where to get parts for these. im also in Australia.

and also. i was looking at buying another cheaper cutter if i cannot get parts for my current one. any brands u recommend, can only spend around $500 at the moment, but will be saving for a roland in time..

also thinking of getting into shirts. but ill do some searching on that one.

Thanks

You sure it's not a Refine MH-721?

If so USCutter Vinyl Cutters, Supplies, and Sign-Making Equipment

With cutters I have found you get what you pay for.

I have a pcut ctn630 & I paid about $250.00 with shipping, granted I have only had it a few months, but in those few months it has paid for itself 3 times over, each month since.

I would love to have the gx24 don't get me wrong, but this definatly gets the job done for now & on a budget.

Also just bought a cheaper heat press hopefully things work out as well for a while till I can get a "better one" as most would/will say.

Anyway I guess this is my intro post too.

What's up everyone !!!

Not bad looking unless you look at their warranty 180 days parts only that's pretty short. Sound to me like their not willing to stand behind their equipment.

I would have to agree with you on that, does seem that way, hopefully I don't have to find out the hard way as far as parts replacement goes.

I've had mine for over 2 yrs and have had no problems. What they supposed to give you a lifetime warranty for a 250.00 machine? I'm glad you're happy with you cutter, but like I said earlier, my refine will cut anything your cutter will cut and you paid almost ten times the amount. Gotta love that warranty though.

How often do you use it? Is the software user friendly? Does it have optic registration? I am not trying to start a fight. Like I said I can always use another plotter. At that price I would not mind dragging it around to fairs and festivals. Just Usually in life when the price is to good to be true it probably is . Call me skeptical.

I have a inexpensive cutter and a Roland Gx 24. If you don't need the opyic eye option for contour cutting,I suggest buying a less expensive machine. I used my inexpensive cutter and made a bunch of money with it. I bought a Roland because my accountant told me to spend some money on equipment. I will tell you the software on my first cutter is much easier to use and more versatile than the the software provided with the Roland. .... JB

I use it 8 hrs a day every day Mon-Sat. I use FlexiPRO software and I can contour cut with it using Flexi just like any machine with an optical eye.

Let's put it this way, I own 2 of them and they are the best investments I have ever made in my life.

Obviously I can't show how long they will last but I can show you a little "test" done between 3 machines. Can you guess which was cut with what? Can you guess?

Just like David I own the 721 with FlexiSign as well. I 'm going on my second year of ownership and my usage of it has been exponential. So far I haven't had any issues, and I have been very pleased with it. I don't mind the warranty being shorter. You can purchase just about any part for it for under $50, and get them quickly from USCutter.
