I was told the best format for the GX-24 to work in was XP Pro. Therefore, I'm designing in one area and using my laptop with XPP on it for the GX-24. It sucks, but, it does the job quite well.
Purchased GX-24 a yr ago. Purchased new computer with vista a couple of months ago. Installed CD drivers that came with GX-24. Computer reads and acknowledge that GX-24 is there and operating. I can use the cutstudio software and all. When it's time to cut, that's the problem. It send the info to the 24 but then, I get an error message that says, " Spooler Subsystem App stopped working and was closed". All the work that I am trying to do is being saved in the print que. I've downloading drivers from Roland, still no success.
I have a gx 24 and run vista, no problems either. However I did have to call Roland to get it up and working, they were great to work with and they got me up and running in no time. I had xp but also bought a new computer with vista since my other computer had too much on it. Call roland and they should be able to help

It has to be a driver issue, I would suggest to call roland as well as they can probably give you a quick answer as mentioned above.
If not them I suggest removing all the drivers you have for the roland along with cut studio. Reboot and then make sure to go in and remove the usb port as well that the roland was on. (if you are using usb)
Try downloading the new driver for sure from the site, I'm using that one and all is fine.
You can also right click on the program(s) that you are using, go to properties, go to the compatibility tab, and then click "Run as Administrator." I had to do this to get Flexisign 8 to work.
