I was in costco a couple weeks ago here in salt lake and there was someone selling a small plotter that was mainly for scrapbooking but could use images created from Illustrator. It was about $250. I lost the flyer and am very interested in getting a small portable one does anyone have any suggestions for one that can use images from Illustrator that is inexpensive and portable?

Here is a good brand one that is fairly cheap OUT OF STOCK - Roland 8" StiKa SV-8 Vinyl Cutter with CutStudio software - SV-8. Its a roland brand which is really good. They are out of stock right now but I think their price is the best. It says they will have them back in stock like next week. Hope this helps I have also seen this one fairly cheap on ebay too. I would just make sure to buy a brand that is good, instead of one that is a cheap price.

I use the Craft Robo. I don't use Illustrator, I use Corel. I do believe you can use Illustrator, just a different set-up.

The WishBlade and Silhouette are nearly the same machine. I do not know which graphics programs they are compatable with.

I think there is a yahoo forum for the Wishblade...maybe you could pop in there and see what the users are saying about it.
