I just bought some thermo flock from stahls, but i cant seem to be able to set up my cutter t properly cut it. Does anyone know the force settings, or other settings that i need to adjust in my gx 24 in order to cut this stuff properly??? Thank you
I have a Gx 24 and I have been using flock from Vinyl Cutters, heat presses, heat transfer material, transfer papers and heat printing supplies all at affordable prices. . I read somewhere that people were using a 45 degree blade and just increaseing the pressure, but I haven't tried that myself. I use the 60 degree blade and set my pressure at 120 grams and it cuts great. I was told by several members to purchase a clean cut blade(sold at specialty graphics supply for $14.95). I was told this blade will last for a long time and the 45 degree blade is sharp enough to cut flock. A guy who cuts several yards of vinyl daily( he owns a sign shop) and has used the same blade for over a year with no issue. ..... JB

P. Grizzle if you'll notice, our cutter settings are nearly the same for Flock. I find that the 60 deg blade is more fluid moving through that material. I have not tried the 45 degree blade as I'm not certain if one is made for my cutter. I may have tried my 36 deg blade but obviously didn't stick with it for this material.
This may sound silly but are you sure the blade is long enough to cut through? I have to increase the blade length on mine when i swop from vinylto flock.
Lee I agree the only dumb questions is the one you fail to ask buddy !.... JB
