Default Xpres Inkjet Dark - Faulty for R1800 Printers

Hi,

We purchased a box of 50 sheets of A3 sized Xpres Inkjet Dark transfer paper.

It didn't work as it would not load into the printer, every sheet we tried to load was rejected by both of our Epson R1800 printers.

If I ojnly had one printer I would have blamed the printer but it did this on both of them - I have one for Dye Sub Ink and another for regular Ink.

When we phoned Xpres we were fobbed off with excuses several times.

Once we were told by someone that lots of people with Epson R1800 printers have been complaining and that it is to do with the thickness of the plastic backing that is used.

Apparently it works fine with the new printers they are selling but not with the older Epson R1800's

Interrestingly we phoned up today and were again fobbed off until we said that someone already admitted there is a fault with the product and we will be able to get a refund.

Personally I think that they are using this to sell the new printers rather than deal with it.

Victory (another supplier) just got a new customer for this type of transfer paper and their paper works perfectly for what we need.

This is not the first time Xpres have lied about the capabilities of their Inkjet Dark paper - it doesnt work on any kind of application tape either as it simply wont stick to it. I never did get to the bottom of that one - see one of my previous posts from months ago if you're interrested in this.

Very underhand in my opinion
