I am getting ready to purchase a plotter cutter, and have the option of three different software programs. Does anyone have any opinion of which is better? SignBlazer Elements, SignCut X2, or Flexi Starter 8.5
i'm looking at the US Cutter. After much debate, I have decided to go cheap the first time around. I'm planning on making window stickers, car decals, and maybe iron on's. Might use it for my silk screens as well?

thanks guys for the fast response
imo, signblazer is a do it all software design cut and print. sign cut is cut only software., don't know much about flexi tho. i have signblazer and love it.
If your looking for a cutter, I know the Gcc cutters do a great job. I also heard there are some rebates that may be comming too. I know they are bundled with the flexi software. You could contact Heat Applied transfer vinyl for t-shirt applications . I know roger carries these cutters. I was going to email him about the rebate, but have not had a chance. .... JB
It looks like the Flexi 8.5 starter is a really scaled down version of flexisign. It apparently only has drivers for the 2 machines, but what do you expect for $90 when the whole program ranges from $995 to $4295. In flexisign pro you can import from Illustrator and Corel Draw, but I would ask some questions to make sure about the starter version.
Ok, thanks. I use Illustrator for all my designs. So What would you guys suggest?
SignCut X2 comes with a plug in for Illy, as well as Corel Draw, so you might not need the design features of Flexi or SignBlazer considering you already know Illy.
I would suggest the USCutter MH series or the Creation PCut series for a good, low priced starter unit. Will pay for itself with the first few jobs you cut.

Great unit for the money. We have some owners that bought them 5-6 years ago before we started selling them, and they are looking for new blades or cutting strips now, and most of them say they have never had a problem with theirs, and it still cuts like a champ.
just my 2 cents... signblazer support is on hiatus till colorchrome is bought out.... or you can drive kenny imes (look above) crazy with all your signblazer questions.... by the way ken i'm still waiting to re register my signblazer software due to a pc crash...
