Default Where to begin to figure out charging for vinyl?

More questions...How do I even begin to figure out how much to charge doing vinyl decals, shirt graphics and lettering? I've already been asked what would this cost?? my reply was it all depends on what vinyl you want, the amount of weeding for the design and the size. Sounded good and they accepted that but.....now what do I do??? some examples of how you calculate your jobs might be helpful. I live in a town of under 10,000 and have 2 businesses in town that already do this so want to be competitive but not way under. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Heidi
