Default Suggestions for pre-cleaning

Ok, new to the vinyl industry. I have my GX-24 finally set up and functioning. Have done some tshirts and really enjoyed that. I would like to move into vehicle graphics and window decals. Any suggestions on what to use to clean the windows or vehicle itself before applying the vinyl? I've done some ready and saw it says to be careful what you use. I believe they said windex isn't compatible with the vinyl sticking so want to make sure before I begin.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Heidi

if there is a wax buildup on the glass or vehicle surface i use denatured alcohol - you can't get it at the drugstore, gotta go the hardware store! - it's a hotter solvent and cuts the gunk better

This is what I use for cleaning and wet apps. 1 part alcohol 3 parts water 2 drops of dish soap (Little is better than more)
