Default noob (1.5 mths) showin off some work

Saw everyone else putting up current work, and well... i felt left out lol... Got my vinyl cutter the beginning of May, and have just been doing little odds and ends here and there... The nintendo shirt is a HUGE fav among my friends lol... The "Stay Gold" is on the inside of the glass (Layered the gray onto the yellow), UNM Lobos is a 4 layer graphic i made to test putting registration (right? registration marks are those alignment marks) marks in photoshop... I am in the midst of using myspace as a portfolio for work i have already done. I use CS2, Signblazer, have a "PCUT" from uscutter (which rocks) and a 15x15 heat press that I dont know who made, but it rocks too lol. I use thermoflex for shirts and arlon/calon 5000 series vinyl for decals... (both are supplied by my local vinyl shop)... (And in the last pic, not supplying my email address for work, just showing off my photoshop-signblazer work lol...

Nice work, looks like the cutter is already paying for itself.
Was the 4 layer, hard to do? I am wanting to try multicolors but have not done it yet.

Thanks for sharing

actually, not as difficult as you would think... i made gray the base color, so i took the pic in photoshop, made registration marks (made crosses, and squares in each corner) then colored the entire thing grey (well, black so i could easily monochrome it in signblazer) and saved it. then took the black (next layer) left the reg. marks, and colored the red, and white black as well (since black is the next layer), saved, repeated with white (making it and the red black, taking off the grey and black)... repeat with red.... hope that makes sense?? i can give some pics to explain it if you want....

I would like to point out that I would be very careful if I were you. Nintendo is a trademarked company and you are likely to get your self into trouble with reproducing their works.

Yeah we cant be too careful.. .. the chuck norris one is another one that can get you in trouble..

Thanks for sharing the pictures.. its great to see what people are doing..

The picture of the back of the car.. the top line is not real readable.. Not sure if its the angle of the picture or the combo of colors of the vinyl used. Not putting down your work at all.. just a observation..

yeah i need to redo the top... my friends have been giving me a hard time about it.... it is chrome on red.... Does anyone have a color chart for which colors pop (stand out) the most, or which colors have the most contrast? i know black/white is the most, and then yellow/black...

Any colour lined in white will show up nicely on a tinted window.

I think the shirts you made for yourelf are awesome. I would never try to sell them. I was at a show and seen a chenille Harley logo. The said he could make it for himself, but not sell it. I'm not sure, but the companies most likely won't bother you for making those shirts for your private use. Just don't try to sell them. ..... JB

Im glad you didnt take offence..
I have a color chart at work i believe..
I think its still tacked on the work board..
Ill look tomorrow and post it if i can find it.

THe think you wanna remember is contrast..
and a good hint is how it looks when you squint your eyes at it.. how clear and such it is
