Default CM-24?

How old is the technology in a CM-24? Would it be worth the extra $1000 for a new GX-24?

It would depend on what you'd like to do with it, but personally I'd say, "YES!" The GX-24 is DEFINITELY worth the money.

But as a starter machine if you don't want to do any contour cutting (either inkjet transfers or printed stickers), and you only plan on doing vinyl for now, then that might be okay.

Rolands, Graphtecs, and Summas are built to last.

We have both in our shop.. roland and graphtec..
the roland is new.. the graphtec is an antique that works off of windows 98 lol..
They both are built to last.. the Old Graphtec is is a work horse that has cut 50 - 100 yards in vinyl every week for the last 10 years.

and keeps on going and going and going.
