Discuss the various aspects of heat pressed vinyl transfers. Popular and new types of vinyl media, suppliers, vinyl cutters /plotters, press times, quality, how to instructions and more can be found in this heat press sub forum.
The cutters are great for the money, but I have not received much feedback on the heat press units yet because we have not been offering them for very long. If you choose SignCut as the cutting software for your cutter instead of SignBlazer, then yes, it comes with a 3-year subscription to the full PE version. At the end of the 3-years, it will need to be re-newed. They charge $99 to get another 3-year.
SignBlazer is not subscription based, and will not expire.
I just thought this was as good a place as any for my first post.... I have a uscutter (The pcut, table version) and it is awesome.... and i also love signblazer, too... bought the cutter off ebay a month or so ago, and have already done so much work with it....
I guess i should say i am not really familiar with any other software, so i cant really compare it. All i care about right now is ease of use when importing psd's and it does what i want. I have made 4 and 5 layer images with photoshop/signblazer...
i really dont like SignBlazer at all!!!! its a wast of time why is it recommended by them!!!!!
very unhappy
I have a machine with signblazer and I'm with you, it don't compare to something like Flexi, but I guess if you've never used any cutting software before it will work good for you. Yes that is what US Cutter recommends using, even though you can get SignBlazer, Sign Cut or even Flexi Starter now with US Cutter's cutters.
Hey JT can you share some photos. We would love to see your creations. ...... JB
yeah, id love to! give me a sec to take some pics and ill put them up here... i did reproduce a copyrighted image, but it was only for experiment, cause it has 4 colors... (The UNM Lobos logo)
alright, here ya go... all of these were done in photoshop CS2 and saved as PSD's as black and white (Like, for the lobo, the gray base was saved as black on white background, then the black was saved on white background, then white, and then red....) then i just monochromed and vectorized in signblazer. Also made registration marks in photoshop... If anyone wants me to explain more, i can! I havent found any limitations between my photoshop and sign blazer. I have done small graphics (1 inch x 1 inch) up to 23 inches x 48 inches. Dual layer, quadruple layer. I have taken peoples pictures and photoshoped it into graphics that can be cut out. Still working on pricing lol... (I did the Lobo graphic within a week of having my vinyl cutter)
So, shirts, vinyl, banners... I plan on actually marketing myself in the next month or so to actually start bringing in more than "word of mouth" advertising lol.
alright, just keep getting the "incorrect thread link" or whatever (probably because of my tiny... post count lol) so i will do this another way... (hope this isnt out of control for you guys! I have lots of stuff i have done on a myspace.... dunno what the protocol is on if i am allowed to post the url to show it off?
