Default Die-Cut Stickers?

Had a thought.

I've got a VERSACAMM 1 SERVO printer/cutter.

If i used a carrier sheet on regular printable vinyl and set the depth of the blade to cut through the vinyl and backing of the vinyl, do you think I'd be able to make die-cut stickers?

I know theres a risk of ruining my blade and/or cutting strip.

THANKS

Why would you cut through the backing paper? You print and die cut on the vinyl roll and then with a paper cutter cut out the individual decals. The actual decals will follow the contours of your design, you just peel em off the backing paper and stick.

yeah.. why risk hurting a machine.. with my versacamm i just print and cut.. then weed and cut the backing paper into little square or rectangular peices to give to the customers..
also the vinyl would be harder to get off the back paper if the paper was cut at the same place as the vinyl.. and also as it cut.. if it was cutting all the way thru not only could it hurt your machine.. but think of the mess with peices falling off.. or moving. .the blade catching them.. it would be a big mess..

ps.. what is a versacamm 1 servo..??

hey guys check this..

its a plotter that die-cuts

GRAPHTEC AMERICA, INC. - Instructional Videos Page

wonder if you could setup a versacamm or gx-24 to do this.

it cuts it leaving little bits uncut so it dosent fall out you pop it out after its finished.
