Default Fonts for plotter

I am trying to download fonts for my new graphtec plotter and the software says it doesn't support those files?? What am I doing wrong? PLease help me..

They need to be cuttable fonts, the technical term slipped my mind. I think they are called open type fonts There are tons at dafont.com and font.com

Thats where I got them but I can't figure out how to import them to the program.

From Dafont or any other site you will need to save them somewhere on your computer. I save them to my desktop. Usually they are "zipped". Clip on the file you saved and unzip it. Pull up your Control Panel and clip on your Fonts file. Now just drag and drop the new file over into your fonts file. The font won't show up in your design software until you close the program and start it over. Sorry I don't explain things very well. I think there are instructions on the dafont page somewhere.
