I really enjoyed the true life "Running with Scissors" and want to do a vynl transfer T-Shirt with the saying...
"Where the heck is Bookman!!". Mainly for my own use to see how many other people in my town would relate to it. I guess I could get into trouble for that?

You may want to look into the laws (and lawyers) in your area to see if this would be OK or not.

I have no legal skills but most copy-righted material prohibits commercial use. Personal use is often a different thing. My understanding is if you give credit for the saying it's not plagerism. If you try to sell or give away copy-righted material you would clearly be in violation.
