Hi
1-I dabble with printers , and embroidery machines and would like to know what is a good commercial plotter cutter for t-shirts? and possibly sign making?
2-and a good heat press?
If you are looking for a commercial cutter I would look at a Roland GX-24 or a Graphtec CE5000-60. Both are very capable of cutting both sign vinyl and heat applied t-shirt vinyls. For the heat presses I would recommend one of the newer Stahls Hotronix presses.

Belinda, I want to welcome you to the forums. Your question is hard to answer. What are you looking to spend is a big question. The Roland goes for almost two grand with the stand. Vinyl cutters from US Cutter start out below $500. Heat presses start around $500 and go up to several thousand depending on features. Most would recommend any name brand press with a good warranty. US Cutter has good cutters for a limited budget and the Graphtec brand cutter as well. It's also available at many other sites. Rolands excell at contour cutting if you need it. All depends on your needs and budget. It really pays to research before buying.
Chet is right on the Uscutter being great for the money. I have 3 heat pres' right now two hotronix and 1 hix. I would trade my hix for 3 of any other press. I like my hix and I like he support from the hix staff. I can call and get answers quick and not get the run around like at stahls. Hix is a maller company that still believes in customer satisfaction. ... JB

You know JB, I don't own a Stahls heat press, but I get the feeling the company is not very customer friendly every time I stumble across their site. I have not purchased form them yet so I'm not a customer. People who aren't customers can't access their pricing on anything. Since I have no idea about their prices, I don't know if I want to be a customer of Stahl's. Ugly little circle there. I do have a Knight DK20, and they are very supportive as well.
