Default Contour Cuts Roland GX 24 or Graphtec 5000-60

Can see someone tell if you need your pc or mac after printing out a image with registration marks. I guess my question is can the cutter Roland or Graphtec do a contour cut without the computer once the registration marks have been set on the transfer sheet. Like if I do heat transfer image at my house and take it over to say John's house who may have an Roland GX-24 or Graphtec 5000-60.

You still need the design as you printed it with the registration marks. There is no secret ink or anything used for the registration, it prints out the special marks so that it knows its boundaries when cutting. Once it scans the registrations, it knows that whatever you're contour cutting needs to be in that box. The boundaries don't do any good though unless it knows the actual shapes it needs to cut out, which is why you still need the artwork. It's also always good to have a bit of a bleed on your artwork too though to prevent any white borders that can occur.

I remember reading in post that the Gx 24 was more user friendly for contour cutting. ... JB
