im really excited, just did my first truck lettering job.it was a very simple design, just one color text on both sides of a tow behind trailer.i did a wet application cause i heard it was the easiest way to go,im still not sure if it was.i had some lift up problems, but i think it was cause i removed the premask to soon.but all in all i think it went well for my first application.the customer was happy,i really wasnt that happy with it,cause it wasnt perfect ( im a perfectionist, and if im not happy with it,why should the person paying the bill be happy) the trailer had rivets every 3 inchs so i had to cut around them, and thats where i mad a few mistakes. so i dropped 50 bucks off the price.i was more then content in making just a hundred bucks for 2 hours work.
What method did you use to letter the truck? Airbrush, etc.?
You gone always feel like you did something wrong, but when your the one doing it any little thing will make you feel like you messed some up. But I think everyone does that. You probualy did a great job, but being that you the one who did it you not going to feel like you did it right. Hope you get what I'm trying to say.
Don't beat yourself up about it. Long as the customer was satisfied you did good. Just remember your mistakes, so next time it wont happen.
thanx for the words of encouragement t.t . my wife said the same thing as you. i did vinyl lettering,im new to cutting vinyl only have had my gx 24 for about 2 weeks now and i have already made a few hundred bucks with it.
Use a heat gun and a tennis ball for the rivets, screws whatever you want to call 'em. Works like a charm. Heat it up for about a second or 2 and then push the tennis ball over it, it with conform right around the rivet. BTW, I hope you used cast vinyl.
