If you have the type of cutting strip that is just a teflon strip held on with double-sided tape, you can reuse it. Pull it off like you're going to replace it. Remove any burrs that you made in the cutting side of the strip. Then use your thumb to roll the double-sided tape off of the back. Then take some new double-sided tape, banner hem tape will work, and put new tape on the side that is destroyed or worn and re-install it.
