Default which size plotter would be right for me?

Hello,

I am looking at purchasing a plotter, and am trying to decide which size would be the ideal one for my primary purpose (cutting decals). I plan on making large decals but mostly many smaller sized ones.

To get to the question, would a 24" or 50" be better for my intended usage? Can a 50" plotter cut many small/smaller size stickers from a piece of vinyl, or b/c of it's larger size is it restricted to cutting a certain minimum size?

The cutters I am looking at are the US Cutter MH-series or the Creation Pcut, not sure if that helps or not.

Thank you for any help you can offer!

J

If you don't plan tp cut anything over 23 inches wide a 24 inch cutter will be fine. If you plan to cut bigger than that then you may want to go bigger. You can cut small objects with a larger cutter. The UScutter brand seems to have a good reputation in the industry. I would look at the GCC cutters at Heat Applied transfer vinyl for t-shirt applications too. They are bundled with FLEXI software. I have heard great things about the FLEXI software and I have a GCC cutter and I know they are great. Good luck. ..... JB
