Default Not sure what to even call this question... Help please!

I have a vinyl Cutter. I want to make some t-shirts, nothing fancy, just for my kids.

So I have no idea but I thought I would try to put my vinyl cutter to use. I usually do that printer paper that is iron on but hate it. But I am a dummy.

My Question: I have no Idea where to start, do you buy t-shirt vinyl? What exactly is the type of vinyl called? Is there a great brand?

My Other Question: I do not have a t-shirt heat press. I don't make enough of anything to get one. Do I have to have one for the t-shirt vinyl to work? Can I just iron it on with a regular iron or no way?

Thanks!

Thermoflex is about the best there is, I myself use multicut from Transfer Papers and Sublimation Inks at Joto but you have to have a resale license to order from them. You can get Thermoflex plus from speciality graphics supply, look on the left hand side of this page in preferred vendors, there's also a coupon for 5% off in there too.

As for the heat press, you do need one to do your children's shirts, but you definitely would need one to sell any, an iron won't get it hot enough and even temps like a heat press does.

Hope this helps
