does anyone know of a cutter that offers an optical eye for cutting transfers,besides the roland gx 24.i was looking for something less expensive then the roland.

I don't have one, but I think the Copam cutter has the optical eye.

Here's a thread for you to see cutters compared to each other... the Copam 2500 does not do contour cutting, but the laser cutter for around $500 does do contour cutting...

I'm patching you into the thread where the cutters all arrive at Chani's apartment and she begins testing and comparing them... in a few pages... someone offers to send her the $500 laser cutter to toss into the testing with the other three... one of which is the gx-24... so you'll be able to see how $500 contour cutting stacks up against the $1700 plotter... for better or for worse... you'll get an idea of what you gain and lose with the money involved... good luck to you! thanx to everyone who helped me out on this,i really apperciate it.im kinda new to all this so any input will be very helpfull.im trying to find a inexpensive cutter that will allow me to cut my heat transfer both lights and darks and of course vinyl.i think ill find all my answers in chani posts.thanx again,all who responded to my post and to all who contribute to this forum.i have never found a more helpful bunch of ppl anywhere.this is truly a great forum with great members!
