Default Problem with UScutter

First of all, worst customer service, everytime i call they say customer service line isnt open and i also love how signblazer is located in australia. Anyways, ive run into a problem.

Every few times I cut i have to unplug and plug in my cutter for my computer/cutter to reach each other.

Also why when cutting does my vinyl fold up and messes up the job?

Help!

thanks,
Nick

First off, they have a forum Welcome to the Frontpage where their forum support is second to none. Second off, why does signblazer in australia have anything to do with US Cutter's cutter? Third off, it sounds like you're running USB connection and that problem has been addressed many times on their forums. Fourth off, sounds like maybe you're putting the pinch roller where there isn't a feed roller or you're blade is out too far and ripping through the vinyl.

They just hired another service tech so things should be easier for them and the customer.

didn't know about that, thanks.

It's the program i got with it, just comparing customer service wise.

will search, thanks.

can you explin which one is which?
I'm so new to this, I don't understand the difference between a pinch roller and a feed roller.

Also how do you adjust the blade?
Do you just position it on the cutter on how low you want it?

Thanks David!

bzzzt. not my experience at all. Bought a used uscutter from someone who couldn't get it to work, and USC not only helped me as if I was the original owner, but also phoned me back, to check if it worked. I'd call that superior customer service above and beyond expectations. The thing now cuts like a Roland ;o)~

what times are you calling in? obviously a smaller company like usc isnt going to staff a 24 hour hotline. Ive called a bunch of times--- ok, so it was only five or so-- between 9-5 west coast time and ALWAYS got someone.

Do you call Whirlpool to complain that the cheese in your fridge was made in France and smells bad? ;o)~

signblazer is just software that works with many different cutters/plotters. you can grab lots of other companies software (some located in the us) to do the same thing it does.

sounds like some quality time with the users guide/manual would be where I would start. seriously. not to be crass on ya, but that manual solved 80% of my troubles, and almost all my questions, before my first call to them. give ALL the papers they sent ya a good read before you phone them, it'll help ya out alot.

Got a support ticket from you and responded. Would be nice to know which cutter you have.

Always happy to assist.

If you call and nobody answers, you are not calling during our business hours, or I may already be on the phone assisting someone else. Although it would be swell, you are not the only person calling us.

Frustration gets the best of us sometimes, even happens to me. Glad you got it working better with a Serial to USB adaptor, but sorry your computer required you use one.
