Default Refine mh721 cutting blade not lifting

I have a problem with both of my refine mh721. the problem is the blade does not lift while cutting. when making the test cut on the plotter itself it will lift. this is on both plotters. i reinstalled the software artcut and have the same problem. i tried another computer and same problem, also tried different cables with no result. can someone please give me a suggestion on what the problem may be. i thought i may be a driver issue, but i worked before. or maybe a windows update that has messed it up. thank in advance

The carriage arm is controlled magnetically, so make sure you have the ground wire hooked up for both machines, especially if you have them in a carpeted area, or an area with high humidity. Also, if the units are pulling from a tight roll of vinyl it would cause more unwanted static. It is a good idea to loosen enough materiall off of the roll for the particular job you are cutting. Worst case scenario, the units could have a hardware failure.

ArtCut? Hmmm, we have not incldued that software with our cutters for quite some time. I would lean towards a software issue if it does not happen when it does the test cut on the cutter itself. I would recommend trying the new program we offer with all of our cutters, SignBlazer.

Sign Software, Vinyl Cutters, Large Format Printing, SignBlazer, HotShot, Omega, Newstar
