I just got my first vinyl sample from a guy that has a cutter and i pressed it with my heatpress and I am very happy. Now I will be able to do colored shirts because I was only doing transfers on lights. I am going to put the art on a file(mostly just text) and deliver it to him and he will cut the vinyl and give it back to me and I will weed it and press it myself. I dont know what brand of vinyl he uses but what would YOUR COST be to cut a row of text that is 3" by 12"? What about several different lines of text on a 15"x15" sheet? I mentioned a "a couple bucks" but it wasan informal discussion. I would gladly pay a price that is fair for both of us. What should I expect him to charge?
I think you need to remember he has the cost of the vinyl, the cost of the wear and tear of his equipment and the cost of electricity. After that being said, he then deserves to make money for his time. When you facture all that in think, how much would you want to make for your time above your cost. I know I never gave you a dollar amount, I just wanted to to think about all that should be considered to be included in decideing on a price. Good Luck. ....... JB
