are You speaking of the paper that fits inside the plastic case?
We use poster paper.. I get it from Ordway.. but i dont remember who the maker was.. and Im not at the shop right now..
exactly what i'm talking about. i know a few guys that make their own DVD's of car/truck shows & a few of them have been asking. i know there are several different papers & wasn't sure which one would be best.
also, do you know of anyone the make 30" photopaper?
i can find 30" high gloss paper, but it's not photopaper. the smallest roll i found in photopaper is 36"
We use the same Roland Glossy Poster Paper Sue posted quite frequently for high-quality posters and such. It allows for a beautiful print. My only concern would be the weight when folding it within a CD cover. You should have gotten a sample of this paper with your machine (we did with ours). If not, call Roland and they will send you some.
Great!! Now print out a sample poster for yourself at standard quality (use the correct profile for the poster paper). I suggest something in the 300dpi range, but I have printed less with great results.
i wanted to try printing some banner material i got with the machine, but i couldn't find it under the materials available in Versaworks. is there a way to load more material profiles? quite a few things i didn't see on the list, banner, canvas, static cling, etc......
hopefully the tech coming next week can answer some of my questions.
we use our minolta copier for DVD covers, it can manage pretty thick glossy paper and it is also cost effective.
there are several inkjet printers that can print directly on some kind of special DVD (nothing very special about it, tho).
one of those machines is Canon PIXMA IP 4300, and it is verry affordable.
