Default Vinyl Catalog

I am looking to find a catalog of avery's or anyone else's vinyl so I can show customers what colors/styles are available. Anyone know how I can get me hands on one? I contacted avery but they have not responded.

We have color sheets from about 10 differant vinyl suppliers..
You need to get them from your sign suppliers..
We acutally carry about 40 differant colors in stock in vinyl at all times.. and only use the vinyl charts when we need to match a pantone color or have a logo that has a odd color in it..
Be careful giving your customers too many choices or you end up spending more money for vinyl than your making on the job..

Mystysue is right. It seems like a great idea to give as many choices as possible but the truth is that you will end up having stock that is just sitting there. Customers usually don't need exotic colors unless that is there personality and very few people have that type of personality compared to amount of people who likes and needs crisp, basic colors.

I did this for my heat press vinyl. I spent alot of money buying every color available from my supplier to give my clients a great selection but I have about 4 colors out of 16 (that is 25%) that just sit there. I have since modified my ordering and stocking procedures to only order what sells. I don't re-order a particular color unless I am either completely out of it or I receive an order that I know my inventory can't fulfill.

The great thing about the vinyl industry is that most suppliers are within 2-3 days shipping so you won't be waiting long for your order to arrive.

I just received a job to do a social club logo on the back of an Excursion but I only have 1 of the colors in stock. I will need to place the order for the other 2 colors so in the end the money for the order is actually paying for me some additional color stock in colors I know I will use on other orders.

Ronnie.. that is how we do it.... we keep the 40 colors always in stock as we are a busy shop..but we do have colors we order in specially for jobs.. but you need to make sure its a job that will more than pay for the roll of vinyl you are buying..

I wouldnt buy a 40 dollar roll of vinyl for a 20 dollar job.. lol..

It's great. We just found a local supplier for sign vinyl that sells cast vinyl from two different manufacturers, by-the-yard. That way we can use whatever color we want for any size job, and we're not out anything by having a roll of vinyl that will just sit around.

It costs a little more per yard, but it's worth it for us.
