I just received an email advised that for a short time Roland is offering an extended 3 year warranty on the cutter, rather than the standard one year!...might be a good idea to look at the GX24 if you are in the market for a cutter

charles,
The extended third year warranty is for NEW GX-24 cutters purchased before the end of March, 2008. The GX-24 currently has a 2 year warranty when the serial number is registered with us, otherwise it's a standard 1 year warranty. End users that purchase a new GX-24 before the end of the month have 60 days to register their unit to receive the extra year warranty.
Dana you are right...of course....I forgot to add that this was a special promotion for the three year warranty...
now I am confused...if I registered my unit in Aug 07...when I purchased it...do I have the one year or 2 year..I just talked to one of your dealers and they tell me the warranty is only one year...Can you maybe shed some light on this and how do I find out my warranty period

charles,
Contact tech support and they can check your records to make sure you have the 2 year. If you registered when you bought it, then you are covered. 888 273-8895
Have your serial number handy to make the process quicker.
Dana - I searched the Roland DGA site but did not see the specifics of the warranty for the CAMM-1 GX-24 model cutter.
Is there a link to the warranty details or can you give insight on what exactly is covered under warranty?
Thanks.
AB
AB,
Standard warranty coverage is parts, labor and one-way shipping. There are a number of consumable parts that are not covered-- the blade, blade holder and cutter protection strip. It is understood that these items will have wear and tear on them. What is covered are all internal parts, the frame, control panel and cutting carriage. All cables, motors, and electrical components are covered under warranty. Just get us the cutter and we'll take care of the rest.
Im not sure if Imprintables still offers this, but when we bought ours through them they doubled the warrenty.
4 years, on everything. And I believe they offer a loaner.
Not a bad deal, and a pretty good company to deal with.
