I purchased my Roland from Imprintables in December. During the past few month's I've had a couple of basic questions. Unfortanately, every time I call them, I get the "no one is available to help you" message from the lady that answers the phone. I've left messages, sent emails and no responses. Thankfully, this list is here and for the most part I have been able to get most of my questions answered.
Today, I called to inquire about the blades I purchased and wanted to learn more about one of their vinyls. Now, I'm told that "everyone" is at a show.
I'm normally a very easy going person but the lack of service after the sale has me wondering what happened. I see that others rave about their service and perhaps I'm the only one that hasn't been able to get help.
I started wondering if they are under new ownership? Josh was my sales person and he was wonderful and was the reason I chose to purchase from the company, but he is never available either.
Would someone please give me some other companies that i can purchase supplies from (vinyl, etc.) that you feel has good service.
What are your basic questions? Maybe one of us can help you out. Also, check out YouTube.com for videos on the Roland GX-24 and CutStudio.
I know that most of the Imprintables Warehouse staff is in Atlantic City for the ISS Show. I just saw them at there booth a couple of hours ago. So, they are short staffed this week. Not that this is an excuse, but you should know this.
I hope you have just been experiencing "bad timing". i have talked to a few different people at imprintables and am very happy with their product (esp. "eco-film") and service (except their accounting dept. - and those issues have been fixed). and, this is definitely a bad week for great customer service from many suppliers in this industry. keep trying. you may need to use a different salesperson - i am very happy with lee tringes. good luck!
During a trade show it is more difficult to get a hold of someone for help. But for the past year plus that we have been customers of Imprintables, I have to say that the customer service has been top notch.
When calling, I either choose the extension for Josh Ellsworth or Sales/Customer service. Between the two I am always able to get my questions answered or help with a problem I may be experiencing.
I would guess that it was bad timing because Imprintables does not have a reputation for not getting back to their customers or consistently being unavailable.
What type of Roland did you purchase, GX-24 or Versacamm? I have both and would be happy to answer any questions that I can.
Which blade comes with the gx 24?
I am not sure which blade I have. Everytime I cut the vinyl, and go to weed it. The letters always come up and I have to hold them down with the pick tool. It doesn't matter what font. I watched a video of one of the people on here and she just pulled off the vinyl and everything stayed down. What am I doing wrong?
I believe the GX-24 comes with the 45 degree blade which is used for standard vinyl. There is also a 60 degree blade for thicker vinyl like the suede/flock materials.
Have you used the "Test" button and adjusted the force if need be? When ever we switch out a material we do a test to be sure there is enough force or possibly too much force and adjust accordingly.
When you use the test feature, it will cut a circle with a square inside. You should be able to remove the circle with ease, then remove the square. You should be able to see a slight line left in the paper from the blade.
Try that out if you haven't already.
Also, you might not be doing anything wrong. When I cut smaller letters and designs, I do have to hold them down with the pick tool so they don't lift. Certain vinyls are just like that.
I have done that and it works fine but I am getting tired of having to hold down all my letters'
In this video she just pulls it up and they are small letters YouTube - weeding Sign Vinyl
Hmm, I don't know what she's doing differently you or I. I know certainly haven't figured out how to weed that quickly without lifting the letters. I'm impressed.
