I'm having some problems with spectra cut II. The vinyl is not sticking good to the shirt plus it's very hard to peel off. It's cold and I followed all the other directions. Does anyone have any tips for working with this product?
it's been an ongoing problem - do a quick search on the forums here and you'll find a lot of similar posts. many of us have changed brands - i prefer multicut - even, predictable results every time, no fiddling required

Thanks. After wasting 6 shirts I've given up on Specta cut II. I went through every post on specific tips and tried with no consistent luck. Darn! we were making 50 shirts for a graduation on Friday but it's not a big deal since it's not an order per se- more of a consignment type situation. It's just a missed sale. Funny thing was the first shirt turned out well but all the others after that did not. I can't figure out what I did right the first time(must have been a fluke!!). Lesson learned! On to the next product. I've tried video-flex(perfect everytime but more of a sports shirt thick feel) and easy weed (not easy to weed) but easy to peel. I did like the feel of the specta cut II over the rest on the one shirt that worked but it's not worth the time and waste of product. Plus, I'm afraid the shirt won't last and since I have graduations every 2 months, I'd rather have a good first impression. I'll try multicut next and see how it works. mmmm...actually I have time to order plastisol. That's probably my best bet since the designs will always be the same.
Just one more question: What is the feel of multicut? I want something soft and matte like spectracut II but realiable. The videoflex was perfect for my first job-it was a sports team, but it's too thick for other type shirts. I had no wasted shirts with that order. Every shirt came out perfect with one press. I just need something thin that presses well. The easy weed is difficult to weed due to the sticky paper. Everything sticks to it-fuzz, the vinyl you just weeded, dust. It was annoying to work with, although it pressed very well like the videoflex. It's just my finished product had some fuzz pressed in too. I think it came from my sweatshirt touching the sticky backing as i was weeding the design. So... i need something not sticky, that presses well, and has a soft hand on the finished product.
