Default Problem with vinyl - mat and shiny surface

Hi,

When I press my design I have both a mat and shiny design.

What parameters can do this ?

I pressed 311° (155°C) for 10 second with a medium pressure

It looks like bubbles actually. Did you pre-press to get rid of the moisture in the shirt?

Do you always use a teflon sheet on top of your press ?

Only when I do overlays or a second press, I use a teflon sheet.

what kind of vinyl is it? Have you contacted your supplier about it?

I havent seen vinyl do that before.

it almost looks like its bubbled from being too close to a heat source.

It is promaflex, and I don't have much more spec. I don't know if it is wide spread in the US.
I am waiting the supplier answer and will be pleased to post more informations asap.

Hi finally solved my problem after I made some trial test this week end.
When I made a second repress, I didn't put a thick enough baking sheet paper on top.

Now when I use a thick baking paper I have no problem of matte/shiny surface.

I should have mentioned on my first post I was doing a second repress.

I am so happy now
