Default cutter cuts things twice

hello
i am using illustrator and roland cutstudio
and when i import an image
there is 2 layers of it in cutstudio for some reason
one on top of the other, and you can only see it if you select an object and drag it, then there is another one underneath!
annoyingly though, it doesnt happen on every object, so it takes a long time to go through and delete all the extra ones...
anyone else have this problem? i am not that great with illustrator cs2 and i place a graphic in the program, and do a live trace... then i use the plugin to go to cutstudio......

thanks

Your problem may be that the objects (exported from AI) also have an outline, so you get a cut path once for the object and another for the (hairline) outline.

thanks i think i got it
it was pretty much as you said
it was cutting once for the fill and once for the outline
i was able to eliminate the fill and just add a very thin 'stroke'
within the 'live trace' properties
in case anyone else has this same problem...
okbye

Matty.. when i first got my machine for cutting out the transfers for shirts.. I had the same problem.. and yes.. that is it exactly.. (frustrated the heck out of me the day it was happening)....
So this is a very good post so others wont have the frustration we did.. lol
