Very new to the world of printing t shirt, Just recently got myself a heat press
I printed few t shirts for myself and my kids, On making few t shirts, cutting with by hand is not very tidy and adding text I find hard to get a nice finish
What I am after finding out is when printing text would a vinyl cutter plotter be best solution to getting nice clean cut.
The CraftROBO would do, but it's really a hobby machine. If that's all you want to do, go for it! But if you'd like to do it in a littlemore production environment, I'd go for the CraftROBO Pro CE5000-40 plotter. It's got a more intuitive blade system, has the registration mark sensor for cutting transfers, handles up to 19" media in case you'd like to try out apparel vinyl, too, and is a professional machine.
Specialty Graphics Supply sell it, along with a 5% forums discount, and you get 10% off of all supplies for 30 days once you buy it.
We have this machine's big brother, the CE5000-60 24" plotter, and it's been a VERY good machine to us.
As far as white text to black garments, you would either use opaque transfers or white apparel vinyl.
I am in the same boat as you, I am looking for a cheap but good cutter at least 24" I want to be able to do vinyl numbers and T-shirt transfers. Is there a cutter out there that will do both?
You might want to look into the USCutter Laser plotter. Sorry, I don't remember exactly what it's called.
The thing is, it's MANUAL registration with reg marks.
To get a plotter at least 24" with AUTOMATIC reg mark sensors, you're going to spend about $1300 or so. The CE5000-60 is a VERY good plotter. That's the one we have.
Yep the US cutter laseris what you are looking for in a inexpensive cutter, it takes a little more time to contour cut set up but it will do it, for what it is its a good machine.
