I think that may be a little pricey (It's $350 in the US, but I know most stuff costs almost twice there what it does here), but quite a few people here have them, and I'd suggest it as a good starter machine if you're only contour cutting A4 (I think that's the closest one to letter, right?) paper.

It CAN cut vinyl, but you need your rolls cut specifically for this machine. The only place that I know of that sells vinyl cut for this machine is Specialty Graphics Supply in the US. Also, you can't use your scraps in this machine. It's full-width or nothing from what I understand.

To be honest, tho, it's a hobby machine.

If you can swing it, I'd go for the CE5000-40 CraftROBO Pro. It's the same as their CE5000-60 24" plotter, only a little smaller. We have a CE5000-60 and absolutely LOVE IT!

With the CR Pro you can cut any width material from 2.5 inches to 19 inches wide, tho it will only actually cut about 15 inches wide.

Good luck! I'm sure others will come along that know this machine a little better.

Delivered price has recently dropped to below $300 USD. I don't know if this is an intent to saturate the market or due to sluggish sales. It is essentially the same machine as WishBlade and Silhouette with differences being the packaged software. CutMaster and CutRobo are package with this and fairly easy to learn.

This has a unique blade assembly design that I consider it's achillies heel. A single blade with plastic holder is selling at around $30 US and I consider that outrageous. It a shame this was not designed with a holder that would accomidate a standardized blade.

I called Graphtec support recently as I can hear a cooling fan running on mine all the time it's plugged in irregardless of everything being in the off position. Graphtec support is not familar with this product as they first had to compare mine with one at their location concerning this noise. The first response was theirs did not make noise and I should contact the dealer for warranty exchange as this unit is too inexpensive to repair. Within minutes they acknowledged theirs did indeed make noise and while this unit did not contain any type of fan it was functioning properly. I've been around power supplies long enough to know the sound of a micro fan well enough to identify it. I believe Graphtec support is mistaken in their assement of fan presence, which leads me to believe this product is outsourced and has limited support.

For a low cost Craft Cutter it does a pretty good job with contour cuts, for another $120 USD there are much better cutters and software packages currently available.
