Default Question about GX24 durability. Do they fail much?

Are they built to last? I often read people say they "practically have it running 24/7" so I'm thinking I have nothing to worry about?

The thought crossed my mind as I cut something like this:
the end result was BEAUTIFUL, but yeah, the knife is constantly going down to make an invisible cut, repeat a couple hundred times. up down up down up down.

If I can do something like this, leave it on for a while and come back and hope to be able to do that for a year that would be great. Thanks everyone.

Edit: I guess one way to rephrase my question is: how much do you use your gx24 and how long have you had it?

The "main weed" leaves enough material on the backing that it looks like a splash. You can imagine which continuous pieces of vinyl get weeded. Of course I dont weed the tiny holes in the letters : )
