Hey guys,
after about 2 weeks with my cutter and experimenting with simple (and complex) designs I felt I was ready for my first "real" job. Here it is a 2 color Job no less and not to say I wasnt worried at first, everything seemed to come out ok. Judge for yourself. Each hoodie sold for $30.00 a piece. White is thermoflex plus and black is E-Z weed.
let me know what you think!

how did you line the black up on top of the white with it having a pinstripe.
Thanks

Text is varsity font and already has pinstripe.1. created a white outline around text. 2.Seperated colors and cut & pressed white 3. then cut & pressed black text on top. lined it up all by eye.
Good job, it's not easy to line up a 2 colour overlap.
I don't know if it's the photo but it does look a bit out on the H and T. When you press the white you can stretch back into shape a little as sometimes the shape changes slightly when pressed.

Good catch lee. I did my best to line it up. It was hard keeping the black lined up because it seemed (as you said) that the white shrank after being pressed. is there a way to compensate for this?
Great job. I know how dificult to align everything.
Think about pressing the black vinil under the white, cutting the white letters to show the black vinil and stamping the white over the black
I've had that before where the first colour shrinks or goes out of shape.
You can stretch it back a bit while hot and hold till it cools or don't press the first colour for the full time, less pressure and peel it hot so it does not stretch too much, then the second colour press for the full time. I've done this but it might be different for different vinyls so you would have to test.

The other thing you could do is separate the second colour by cutting between the letters say on the H and T and then you could position the T slightly over to compensate. It should not look too obvious that way.

That is how I do it when I do multi colors and they shrink, I simply cut the next color to be pressed and align it up in pieces.
Nevertheless, it still looks good and you should be proud.
Looks great! Awesome selection of font and I love the bottom ARCH. Might want to try the "Bulldogs" in white to stand out more (as long as it's opacity doesn't show the red thru... that would look horrible, Pink "Bulldogs")... just my opinion.
