Default Heat Pressing times!?!?!

Hi Folks!
I have been wondering if over hea pressing vinyl, will affect the product? I mean, Im following instructions of time of the manufacturer of my poli-flex, but when Im done, I re-press the vinyl for at least 8 more seconds. In my imaginative mind, I have been figuring an hypotesis, and that is that maybeif I over heat the vinyl, it may loose its bond with the shirt, or make the glue less effective or something. Am I ruight? is there no prob if I heat press the vinyl 1.5 times the specified time? Help!?
Thanx
Joe

PD
I remember there was a thread that said: "Over curing (or maybe over heating) vinyl. Is it possible?, but I cant find it!

I always re-press mine for 8-10 seconds using multicut and have never had any problems so far.

I would not try to re invent the wheel. I would follow the instructions for the material until I was sure they were wrong before I corrected any settings
