Greetings

Can somone tell me how to replace the protection cutting strip. I have the part and wasn't given any instructions. We have a Master xy-300p and there is no support. We have the stip but unsure how to secure it. The original one had a plastic tape.

Whats the best way to replace this?

Hello,

Normally they have an adhesive backing and just pull off like a sticker. If there is some residue left behind, clean if off with an adhesive remover. The new protection strip should have a backing paper covering the adhesive. Remove it and place the new strip in the same place where the old one was. Press down firmly on the strip along the length to make sure that the adhesive has a good bond.

Hope that helps.

See thats the problem we bought the strip from the dealer we got the cutter from a few months ago. Just gettin around to it and there is no adhesive just the white plastic strip. Paid 20.00 for this and I can't use. And the distributor wont respond to my emails. I got this thing from Desay lol. Never again.

Any suggestions. Or better yet, can i use a strip for another cutter as a replacement. And before anyone says it. Yeah I know I got what I paid for lol. But this was my first cutter and with it I know what to buy and not to buy so I got a cheap lesson lol. Im not ready to upgrade it yet so I need do with what I got.

My suggestion then would be to glue it down. Use a glue that will be removable later in case you need to replace the strip again. Try something along the lines of rubber cement or something similar.

Best of luck,

Good idea with the double sided tape...I'll second that recommendation.
