I purchased a used CX24. I know it was risky buying a used one but I didn't have the dough for a new one. Anyway, it seems as though when it cuts a letter for instance, it leaves a very small space between the place it starts to cut and the place it ends the cut. So when I go to weed, I sometimes have a little sliver that I have to either pull to break or cut with an Xacto knife. It is more of a problem on the small letters. I can deal with it but it is a pain in the butt. Is this normal? I'm guessing not.
Do you have your design to close to the edge in your software?
Are you using the origin button after you move the cutter head to the front left edge of the material?
Check your offset setting. You would change it for angle of the blade you are using. You may have a setting way off from normal that is causing the missed cut.

Its not too close to the edge. What I mean is when it cuts out the center of a "o" for instance, there is a very small space between when the blade drops down to make the cut and where it lifts up when the cut is completed. When I weed out the center I have to pull or cut the little sliver it left uncut.
What is the offset setting for a 45 degree blade? I guess I'm not fimiliar with this setting.
The offset for a 45* Roland blade should be .1". Experiment up and down using that as a starting point. This problem is almost always caused by the knife offset.
