Okay, here's another questions for all you masters.

I've heard that Imprintables offers vinyl printing, but I just looked into it today.

If I ganged my designs that I've shown before and contour cut them on my own plotter, I could get them printed with EcoSol inks for about $0.38 each + shipping.

Here's my question: How does printed vinyl feel compared to opaque inkjet transfers? Is it much heavier?

Also, Imprintables says their prints don't fade. How true is that?

Signwarehouse sells vinyl opaque called Siser Colorprint that requies ecosolvent inks. You might want to check that out. Siser claims it is stretchable and has excellent durability like other manufacutrers claim unitl tried, hehe.

The thing is, I wouldn't be printing them myself, so I'm stuck with whatever Imprintables (or anyone else I can find willing to print vinyl for me) uses.

Has anyone actually used printed vinyl on apparel?

a fantastic question.

i recently upgraded to a 48" mutoh valuejet printer and am printing with ecosolvents. the company offers a narrow line of media products, one of which the salesman claims can print full cmyk on a transfer material with a fairly decent hand. when i get a chance to ask him for a sample roll i'll test and post the brand and results here.
