Default JSI vinyl cutters

Does anyone have any experience with JSL vinyl cutters? I'm thinking about getting a cutter but don't want to spend a great deal yet. I know a Roland or other major brand would be better but I can't afford a new one and even the used ones are pretty expensive. So, I was just curious if the JSL cutters are any good. A 24" is only $500.

Thanks again.

I have a JSI. It works very good but is really noisy. I bought mine used for $350 but I knew the guy I bought it from and it was used very little. I have done a lot of cuts with very few problems..

Thanks for the response Rodney. I'm glad to hear yours works well.

My next question is this.... Would it be better to spend $500 on a new JSI or $700-800 on a used Roland?

Thanks

I bought one of the JSI cutters new from the company. Good cutter but is quite noisy like Lou said.

Great start up machine. I went with it to make sure I'd get enough business with the vinyl before buying the more expense machine.

I'm very happy with my JSI cutter and would buy another in a heartbeat!

Hi dont know about the JSI cutter but I own a copam from us cutter,, its very easy on the ears,, bult like a tank,, has auto measure,,, cuts really small fonts,,, and I got it for just over $550.00 new,,,, good reviews on this machine and after using it I can see why,,, however you have to buy a cutter that is going to suite your needs,, each brand has different features....

I have a JSI bought the whole system. I agree with the others ......it is noisy but cuts well. Another thing I noticed is if you have limited experiance cutting and designing the instruction manual is not very helpful but the people are (if you can get ahold of them). I think it took me 3 days to finally talk to someone.
