Default HELP! Graphtec reg marks

Please please help. It's my first time trying to get the Graphtec ce5000-60 to cut using reg marks on opaque paper. When the paper is loaded and I press cut, the laser eye comes on, searches for the reg marks and then tells me that it failed to find them.

I've even placed the laser directly above the reg mark and it failed to read it.

I've been on the phone to Graphtec, but they don't seem to be able to help.

I'm using a pre-set template for the reg marks from Robo Master Pro. The lines are the correct size, width and colour (black), as in the instructions.

If you think you might know at all, please tell me and I'll try anything...ahhhh, I want to throw it out the window.....

Hmm...this is spooky. We just ordered a CE5000-60 and it should be here Thursday. I hope you find an answer and post it here if someone else doesn't!

Somehow, I don't think I will get an answer. I WISH I bought a Roland, there is so much more support out there for them and I never see as many posts with Roland problems. It's one thing after the other with this machine. We were really happy when it eventually decided to cut some vinyl. Now we want to cut opaque paper and it refuses.

Oh, and another thing. I noticed in the manual that it says you must position the rollers outside the registration marks. When I do this it just sits down and tells me REPOSITION ROLLERS.

That's it, it's going in the bin, I'm going insane! How can there be 15 pages in the manual of how to do something so simple?

Where did you buy it from? Have you tried calling your supplier? They should be able to help.

I've used this cutter before. Are you trying to cut a sheet of paper? You might need to put a piece of tape over the back sensor and setup in roll 2. The rollers do need to be outside the reg marks or the laser won't see the marks. It sounds like the sensors go a ways beyond your size paper. I had issues cutting smaller pieces of material until I figured this out.

Thanks everyone, I haven't had it in me to go near the machine today, too much stress yesterday. I'll give your ideas a try and hopefully something will work. Cheers.
