Default Craft Robo Question

I want to print out t-shirt designs on IRON ALL paper and then cut them out using the craft robo cutter. I haven't the budget for a Roland GX-24 and A4 cutting should be sufficent for my uses for now. My question is can the craft robo directly cut out iron all paper or would it be too thin, would i need to put some kind of backing card on the paper?

Also how does the optical eye work, do i load the image i wish to print into the craft robo software then print out the image with the reg marks, then i assume i feed it into the craft robo and the optical eye just follows the reg marks.

Any guides, tips or opinions on the craft Robo would be appreciated.

Hi, 2scoops

I have not used the craftrobo (CR) to cut iron on transfers, just cardstock. The CR comes with a sticky carrier sheet to hold the paper in place and protect the blade.

The optical eye works exactly as you said.

I bought the CR for my wife to use for scrapbooking, and now I am interested in making some t-shirts for myself w/ it.

Are you close to orange county, ca? If so, we can attempt to cut some of your transfer paper. Otherwise, recommend a place for me to buy the stuff and I will give it a try...

thanks for that, I found the craft robo section shortly after posting oops, anyway thanks for your responses.

I'll also probably be wanting to branch into vinyl, when I can afford a heat press.

I really want this to become eventually a lifestyle business, if i can eventually match my currently very average salary with my t-shirt business then i'd be really happy.

But for now i'm starting small as a hobbyist in the evenings and weekends.
