I would advise you to go to US Cutter - Home and ask those questions there.

US Cutter's Refine series uses Roland Blades. I'm not sure about their other series (Copam or something like that).

I don't know about signblazer... never used it

You're good to go if you have the cutter, software, vinyl and a pc/laptop. Take your time when learning the cutter... don't just jump into your biggest project you had in mine. Start slow and get used to it first. Good luck!

Which cutter did you get??? I have a copam,,, it has a f2 blade holder which take roland ,,, they usually install a blade with the cutter and give you 4 extra,,,, also if you have trouble with your usb connection,,,, throw away the one that came with the machine ,,, go to the store and buy one,,,, install it and you will have no problems,,,, learned a lot of start up tricks.

There are different angles on the blades for cutting different materials. There are 30, 45, and 60 degree blades. Thicker materials require steeper angles so the cutting edge of the blade covers the material thickness. Most often the 45 deg. works just fine. Some foils cut better with the 60 though.

As for how long they last , it depends on several things. Cutting chrome , I have gone through a blade in minutes ( I no longer offer chrome), or they have lasted for months (sometimes you just get lucky). Just make sure to always have a spare.

You will also need a carrier tape to make those "free floating transfer jobs" (multiple pieces).
