The new roland plotter came Monday from the contest win here at t-shirt forums.. It arrived monday.. woo hoo.. ... I again want to thank.. both T-shirt forum and Josh from Imprintable warehouse for this great prize.. ..
Its been a couple of real busy weeks here at the shop.. (last week i put in over 70 hours).. so Ive not had time to set up the cutter yet.. but hope to in the next couple days.. Will keep you all posted and post some pictures of some of my first shirts when i get goin on it..
I love the machine.. i got it set up last saturday.. and have cut sign vinyl with it.. but have not had a chance to sit and design anything for t-shirts yet.. .. The Cutter is soo fast and quiet and smooth.. I actually covered an old desk with sign vinyl to put it on.. I have to go to the shop today and will try to take some pictures.. of it on the red white and blue desk.. hehe
I really love the ease of the software that comes with the machine.. and love how it has the add on for working in illy and corel.. I found the ease of use amazing.. I cant say enough about now nice it was to work with.. The Machine set up was a breeze and the instructions are very well written.. I would recommend this machine to anyone thinking of buying a plotter.
We have/had a really big digital banner order ($10,ooo counting the banners, hardware and the install) for the city we had to do and its being installed Monday.. So hopefully now that that order is about done Ill have some time to work on some shirts.. I realllllllllly cant wait.. This big order has really been hanging over my head for a month or more now.. so It will be quite a relief when its done.. Its the biggest job we have ever done for the city.. and I felt like it was a test to see how we came thru..
No VC .. i have a realllllllllllllllly old graphtec .. I think its an antique.. lol..
Its well over 10 years old ( I am not sure but i think its like 14 years old) . and not as big as this one..
We have a versacamm also, but that we use for print / cut we never use that just for cutting.. Its mainly for printing stickers and printing banners..
Also those belong to the company.. the new plotter is MINE ..
and will be dedicated to primarily cutting t-shirt vinyl..
