Default Roland GX 24 problem

This may be more of an operator problem then a machine problem. I've just purchesed a Roland GX 24 and I'm using it to cut transfer that I print on my Epson 1280. The problem I have is when I print a graphic or words the tops of my letters all have a partial white section the the cutter does not cut away. I have work with adjusting the registration but that only increase a white area around the entire graphic. What can I do to solve this problem

You should be able to move your contour cut line inside a bit by using the 'Offset" function. The amount you offset it depends on the size of your design, but this should work - just remember to delete the original cut line after the new one is created.

Not that this may have anything to do with it, but if that doesn't fix the problem, try converting the fonts to outlines/curves before printing and cutting. (just on the off chance that it has anything remotely to do with postscripting which I do not claim to know anything about)

Dr.G, did you get it sorted, would be interested to know as i'm having the same problem with cutting out bitmaps with a cutline in Coreldraw on my CX-24, it's leaving about a 1mm white area underneath the image. The top and sides of the image are ok, just seems if its not cutting close enough directly underneath....I've tried adjusting my cutline and seems to make very little difference. Will have to try what josh recommends about the offset.
