I know this is a t-shirt forum but I also know there are alot of vinyl sign guys and girls here to. I have a lady that wants 3 signs for her business. This will be going on her store front window.
1.) Sign 1 will be 4 colors (Red, White, Black, and Chrome) and around 38" X 17"
2.) Sign 2 will be 1 color (White) and around 24" X 25"
3.) Sign 3 will be 1 color (White) and around 16" X 6"
I mostly do small decals for windshields and model airplanes. My pricing model works great for my small decals, but when I plug in the numbers for the business sign I get a very high price. Now being new to the sign business I do not know what the normal price range for a job like this would be. When I plug in the numbers I get a price of around $360 (which to me sounds kind of outrageous just for 3 vinyl signs). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
You might try asking over at the Signs 101 - Signs 101 Home forums. They're geared more towards signs and have a large user base as well, so they should be able to give you opinions from more people.
When I was in the sign biz (over 15 years ago...) a big part of pricing was the substrate. Cheap masonite vs. something like sintra (?) pvc will give really change the price.
Odd, where did you get your pricing model for doing decals? Thinking about getting back into the biz.
your market location will be a BIG factor - folks in large metro areas get a whole lot more for the same stuff as us yokels do - even tho it's the same time & materials involved
that said, i'd be around $175 for the graphics themselves - plus time & materials to install.
There's a 30 day free trial too. You set up a list of what your supplies cost, adjust your hourly rates, and describe the job you want an estimate for.
