Default Weeding small letters

How small can you go to weed quite sucessfukky small letters?
I cut a simple font (arial) about 10mm high and 1mm thik and I'm having a lot of trouble weeging them because surface contact with the transport layer is very small and once the cutting lines are very close the letter comes out of the transport layer very easily. On top af this the dots are so small (about or less than 1mm) that they just don't stick to the base layer, so
-usualy how small do you go?
-whats better for this situation, reducing preassure? increasing blade stick-out?
I'm talking about plain collor flex.

Turn the speed of the cutter down.

Also consider using a 60 degree blade. It works better with tight turns. Might have to play with the down force pressure as well. Small lettering is pain. Definitely charge more!!! Good luck.

not counting the cutting once you get to the weeding. alot will depend on the font.. fonts with round edges weed easier.. i dont know the mm sizes but ive weeded fonts a bit smaller than 1/4 of an inch.. ...

One of the tricks you mite try.. is after you cut the vinyl tape it before weeding and weed it from reverse ones its on the transfer tape.. This helps to keep the little centers to letters (commoning known as the picks) stuck wher they are suppost to be..

Just remember to charge accordingly when ever you are weeding something that is a pain.. or time consumming.
