This is my second pressing of vinyl. I previously pressed a shirt that was 100% cotton without any difficulties. This time around I was pressing onto a Bella 100% cotton shirt and ran into some problems. I followed the same directions (350 degrees @ 20 sec), but when I went to peel the backing off, the design started coming off with it. I tried pressing it a little longer, but came out with the same issues. Some of it sticks and some doesn't. Now if anyone is familiar with these shirts, they have a nice soft stretchy feel to them, I don't know if it is not compatible with the thermoflex.
What do nephew?

Do the different color vinyls have any different reactions? I also tried to peel it cold. It was very hard to peel and seemed to be sticking better, but it still wasn't adhering very well.

If it is old stock it will be kinda sticky and harder to weed.
with these adhesive type materials, its NOT a good idea to over buy (like a 100m roll lol), buy as you need in 5yr or 10 yrd type thing.
When they sit on the shelf for too long not good. I have tested this out and storing the rolls in hot rooms for a long time...not good. Same with Flock.
now that i think about it - i am remembering once getting a 5yd roll of red thermo from beacon that was a bit long in the tooth when they shipped it to me....and it wouldn't adhere properly either - they replaced it tho as soon as i called them and the fresh batch cut & pressed just fine
Well, I tested it out last night, and it seems to be the shirt. I took a scrap piece of the same stock and pressed it to an old shirt and it came off like buttah. I peeled the piece off the Bella shirt and it left a film behind.

well that's ugly! i wonder if the sizing they are using on the fabric is interfering with the adhesive action of the thermo - and if that's the case wouldn't it also mess with inks in transfers or screening processes.....??
