Post Looking for some feedback

I recently bought a ProCut vinyl/plotter before I found this great resource for help. I am a newbie and would like to use this cutter for a t-shirt biz is it a decent unit for what I would like to use it for? anyone else using this cutter and had any problems?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don'thave that cutter but you just need to get some samples (Imprintables is your best source) and give it a try. That's how I started. I do a lot of vinyl on shirts with my JSI.

I agree practice will not make perfect, but will allow you experience. The mor vinyl I cut the more I learn. Good luck and happy cutting &pressing. ..... JB

I am getting more and more orders for vinyl product. My client back east is driving me crazy.. I keep telling him if he orders anything large I will have to switch to plastisol. I worked out a per inch price for him.. he likes it and it works for him. I charge him the following rates and may do it for all. what do you guys think.. I add one inch margin to any design.
10 square incehes or less 12 cents per inch
11-25 10 cents per inch\
26 to 64 8 cents per inch
65 to 100 6 cents per inch
101 and above 4 cents per inch. the I charge him a basic price for shirts.. white tees $3.50 and dark $4.50
An example is he wanted 12 shirts with 3 x 9 design. So that would be 4 x 10 or 40 square inches 40 x 8 cents is $3.20 and on a dark shirt at $4.50 I get $7.70 My cost per inch is 1.5 cents.

So what do you think..

Lou I think you're way too cheap. I would be at 11.00 per shirt for only 12 shirts. I don't do per inch pricing, I give them a price for a full front or back and a $1.50 extra per color if they want more then 1 color.

Actually it is not 12 shirts.. It may be 12 of a design. I did 3 different design and each was a different size. He is testing the waters with each design and if they are a go we will switch to plastisol. he figures to sell 1500 to 2000 tees this year. These are all one color vinyl so far.

Oh now that's a fair price then, I misread your post and thought it was the complete shirt.
