Just a quick question, Does anybody know of any CHEAP, well under £100, at least, software for windows home XP, that will make living with a grumpy Graphtec 5000-60, easy.
I, as i'm sure alot of people do, just want to create Art Work, and cut round it and all it's intricate shapes, in one or two easy steps.
I assume that if something like this exists, the price will be sky high, PLEASE SUPRISE ME
you can pick up corel 9 thru 11 pretty cheaply these days - get the printer driver for your graphtec, install it in the printers folder and cut straight from corel.
oops! almost forgot - you'll need to connect it via parallel!
Thank you very much I shall give this a try, would you believe I have miles and miles of cables, but not one parallel lead. I shall buy one tommorow as the shops are now shut, and I will let you know if this has worked. Thankyou once again, James
Ummmm.....not sure about your Graphtec but alot of cutters require their own type of parallel cable, as in the pin locations are different. Again I don't know about yours, so if you can't get it to work via parallel then that may be the problem.
This is getting complicated, I have been cutting, letters and simple shapes out fine, via the usb port, and my laptop doesn't have a parallel port on it, my main computer does however, so all is not lost, Does the paralell cable carry more / better information than the usb ??????
